Thanks for bringing up this discussion about truth. It reminds me of the idea in psychology that there are three identities of the self: the way we see ourselves, the way others see us, and the way we truly are. I forget what this is called, and I'm sitting in a parking lot or I'd take the time to look it up, but I remember the professor saying that when these three identities align closely enough, a mentally healthy individual emerges, which makes "healthy" sound pretty boring. Of course, this was 20 years ago and there's a good chance I was stoned during the lecture, so take this comment with a grain of salt.
