The truth does not exist?

in truth •  6 years ago  (edited)

As much as I could appreciate solipsism and post-modernism, saying that truth does not exist is 100% a false statement. Objective truth / reality is something that exists even if nobody believes in it nor can describe it accurately. Plus, if the "truth does not exist", do we consider that statement to be true or false?

That statement cracked me up. As soon as I realized somebody was trying to disprove absolute truth with an absolute truth statement.

you'd find the blogposts and project here very interesting :) http://www.idni.org/blog/tau-and-the-crisis-of-truth

I woke up with similar "deep thoughts" and began a post about half truths, the consensus of reality etc. it's half finished and always will be.

I believe it was Terence Mckenna that said something along the lines of "if you've never contradicted yourself, your theories aren't complex enough"

Happy New Year !!!
