Speaking Your Personal Truth

Speaking forth your personal truth to others can often land you in precarious situations or awkward moments of silence. Have you begun to experience new revelations, insights or had an ah ha moment and wanted to tell everyone you knew about it? Well, slow down and hold onto your heavy rev's as these exchanges will often fall upon deaf ears.

It is funny how, what is so revealing for one, will have absolutely no impact upon another. I am sure you have noticed that from time to time. You go ahead and start to share your story with someone and get that faraway blank stare looking back at you. You can often feel the disinterested vibes coming from them as they hope the heck you change the subject quick. We all have been there, done that and often too many times.

Take heart dear friends as it happens to us all. There comes a time in everyone's life when following the "normal" path no longer jives. The opinions of your family, friends and peers somehow just don't seem to resonate with you anymore. You no longer want to be influenced by the societal norms surrounding your everyday life. Have you started feeling out of place within your group of friends, starting to feel a sense of unease about how they act, think and believe? Maybe you have even started to notice that you want to pull away from it all?

Congratulations! It is a your inner guidance system, intuition or what many term higher self speaking subtleties from your soul level of awareness. These nudges or impulses to make some changes in your life come when it is time for you to step into your own personal truths.

Often, these times can be very disconcerting as you may not feel comfortable with letting go of what always worked for you in the past. Take heart though, stepping into your personal truths will never steer you wrong. For it is you leading yourself into new realms of possibilities, which lead you to step outside the comfortable box you had played in for so long.

Are you ready? Can you follow those inner impulses to begin examining your beliefs or are you going to stick with the crowds opinions about how something "should" be? It is always your choice to embark upon a journey to discover your very own truths. Can you place enough trust in yourself to give it a go and take a leap towards expanding your perspectives and step outside that box?

If you find yourself being guided here to read this post, then YES you probably are! Now that is your encouragement for today, your little extra kick in the pants from someone who knows exactly where you are and where your going to go. Enjoy the journey dear friends as you are never alone.

Excellent article @SunScape. Can remember at Art School a lecturer introduced me to 'The Existentialists', Jean-Paul Sartre and Camus and 'The Outsider' ~ It all resonated and from there the search for a 'true inner self' began. Has taken many twists and turns over the years ~ Looking back, it's been such a gratifying and exciting journey, following (as much as possible) my own own inner promptings.

Nice post, thank you!
