The Royle Family: Christmas Special 1999 (25th December 1999)
The Royle family have just finished their big Christmas Day dinner and Barbara (Sue Johnston) learns that her turkey wasn't up to scratch, but when she says she might not do turkey next year everyone is up-in-arms. Dave (Craig Cash) has bought Denise (Caroline Aherne) a mobile phone for when the baby is born. Soon after Antony (Ralf Little) leaves for Emma's and Dave leaves to take Nana (Liz Smith) home. While Dave is gone Denise goes into labour in the bathroom and Jim (Ricky Thomlinson) tries to comfort her.
Highlights include: Barbara constantly asking if anyone wants anything, Jim and Denise getting emotional.
