Oh my God. A month after I watched this Netflix mini-series documentary, this is still my reaction. It is just three episodes, but boy what episodes they are. Even though I watched the trailer for the show I just wasn't ready for the crazy that I was about to watch. To be honest, I am not sure you should watch it. It is really good, but it is so disturbing, that it makes you wonder, why are you watching this? Also, it has some graphic content that made me fast forward a few times while watching.
The premise is simple. Deanna Thompson runs into an online video of someone who is killing a cat. And you don't fuck with cats on the internet. So she decides to open a Facebook group to try and locate and stop this person. What can go wrong? Everything. At the end, you are left wondering who is crazier, the people who tried to find that person, that person, or why did you just watch it and what does it say about you.
I didn't know anything about any of this, everything was new to me. It is just crazy mind blowing that something like that happened in real life. It just looks like a criminal minds episode come to life. It is really interesting and well-made and mindboggling, but I am not sure you should watch it.
Did you watch it though? If you did what did you think?
