The Defenders Episode 6 Review – No Spoilers

This should have been episode 2 of this series. It had almost everything I wanted from the show.

Let’s start with the bad:

Villains – Alexandra is just not working for me as a villain or as the leader of the hand. The role is just empty. We never see her do anything more worthy than the other leaders of the hand.

Elektra – Her search for her place in the world feels cliché.

The Hand – What is it that they do? I understand what they want, and their plan. But as an organization, they don’t feel very intimidating to me.

Jessica Jones – Matt gets to detective work and not Jessica? It’s her job!

The good:

Jessica Jones and Matt Murdock – They don’t make a good team. He does almost everything. But she brings in the humor, which is important for us viewers. While from some reason he gets to play detective.

Danny Rand and Luke Cage – I like their talks and bantering. I can see them bonding and their differences makes them an interesting pairing in the show.

Fights – I don’t want to spoiler anything, but there are some interesting fighting scenes in this episode.

Plot twists – at last! Something happened in this episode that I couldn't guess it. Most viewers probably will, but I was surprised. Or thoughts it will come later on. And the show also gave us a new mystery to think about for the next episode. I must say, I am intrigued.

I give it an 8/10.
