21st century is the dawn of the use of gadgets, it all comes in different varieties from computers, tablets, cellphones and a lot more. Through this innovation in technology our life changes creating a more convenient and exciting way of living but with all the positivity it brings there also its dark side, as I mention in the beginning of my speech everything that isn't use in moderation will cause negative effect on us. Today as gadgets became more accessible to us more and more especially children become addicted to it and this phenomenon is raising concerns all over the world. Here in the Philippines we often hear our parents or elderlies say that gone were the days when children will play traditional games and engage on more mind and body healthy activities as most children today are confined on their homes using gadgets, sometimes they fail to do their duties because their attention is focus mainly on what they are doing like playing mobile games or surfing the net or social media sites.
Gadgets were invented to make our life easier and happier but with improper and irresponsible use, it will bring negative and harmful effects to us, let us become more responsible in using gadgets ,let us start the change within ourselves, each one of us can be the models and leaders for others to follow our good examples. Let us not allow these things that were created to help us be the cause of harm because of improper use of it, remember this great things will never be great if it can't be use in the right way.
