There are expensive nights out and then there are really expensive nights out.

For one college student, an Uber ride last Friday fit into the category of "really expensive".

For Kenny Bachman, a night of partying led to an Uber fare of over $1,600. Partying with his friends at WVU in Morgantown, Bachman used Uber to get home. He thought he has fared to go to a nearby friend's house. Instead, it turns hout the New jersey native entered his home address.

Bachman passed out in the back seat and when he awoke, the driver told him they were on their way to New Jersey.

"I just woke up," Bachman told NJ Advance Media in a phone interview.

"And I'm thinking, 'Why the f--- am I in the car next to some random ass dude I don't even know?"

The total fare was $1,635.93.

Bachman contested the charges although he did compensate the driver for the tolls he ran since the driver did not have money.

According to Uber, the matter was settled when Bachman agreed to pay the fare.

This is a painful reminder that drinking and Uber can be dangerous.

LOL drinking and Uber. Some drivers are actually nice and don’t take advantage . My dads an Uber driver and this happen to him so many times but he never took advantage

Hahahaha... This one has killed me. $1,635.93!!!! This actually gets you a car in many countries. And Kenny Bachman paid it as transport fare. Bachman has definately picked he's lesson. A friend's house turns out to be your home address on Uber. That's how powerful booze can get.
Drinking indeed doesn't rhyme with Uber.

That’s nice lesson for Kenny Bachman. At least he had a good sleep, but very expensive. It could be a great lesson for everyone as well, at least for me definately is.
Thanks for giving us great info.

Are we going to see ads on T.V. now...

Do not drink and Uber....It could cost you!!!

I am really glad that this person got home without injuring himself or anyone else, and that he paid what he owed. And now, perhaps, it is time for him to explore the bigger question of whether spending more than $1600 to go across four state lines in a blackout might possibly be an indication that he is powerless over alcohol and that his life has become unmanageable.

$1,635 Uber fare is a bargain compared to the consequences of drunk driving. He did the responsible thing by not drinking and driving. But that was a funny story.Ben Carson spends 31,000 on mahogany dining table, Trump spends millions on trips to Mar a lago.young wastrel spends 1635 on road trip, at least it was not taxpayer funded.

Still, you think someone in his groups of friends would have been sober enough to get him a motel room for a hundred bucks or so. (Well, maybe two nights at a motel before he was in any condition to drive.) Or, maybe a friend could have just let him sleep it off on their sofa.

Maybe he's a rich dude, in which case, oops, haha. No average guy would fold on these charges so easily. I get 328 miles (and return miles, not counted). Call it six hours each way. At $2/mile, plus tolls (plus fines?), plus 12*$15 = $180, we're still under $1,000. So unless this was a Bentley, that's high even at face value. Unless there's like video of the guy encouraging the drive the whole way. And even then it's high. Unless he's rich. Then it's low.

Ahahaahha, learn the lesson guys, don´t call anyone to give you a ride if you intend to go hard and drink the all night.

The poor driver had to drive all night when the real travel was only some kilometers away. At least the drunk (Kenny Bachman) decided to pay him, what he worked for.

Ouch. I’ve heard of expensive nights out but this one has to be up there!!

I have known about costly evenings out yet this one must be up there

Lol..that was some wierd and typically realistic experience. Drinking and blacking out then doing uber,
I think anyone can go through this if they dare drink alot.
Such an expensive for Bachman.

The $1,600 Uber Ride that is expensive but people can aforce it with cryptocurrency
I beleive it is posible and we are going to make it in life.

The world is going

After hearing the price, Bachman continues to sleep, saying that what you do is crazy. The Bachman, who had to pay $ 3.94 for the start-up fee, $ 2.35 for the booking fee, $ 696.95 for the distance traveled, and the last time $ 115.90 totaling $ 891.14, called UberXL instead of normal Uber. Therefore, the price went up further and it was necessary to pay a travel fee of $ 1635.HA HA HA.... ''HANGOVER !'' :))) @zer0hedge

Maybe the most expensive unintentional ride. MrBeast(a Youtuber) took an Uber from where he lives in NC across the country to CA.

I don't uber if I don't have cash for a tip. Hopefully they'll add tipping to app. But the service is amazing. A decent tip is the least you can do. Great post!

I use to hear about costly nights and evenings but this one is just up there!

So nice post..
