The Pentagon creates a new office to investigate UFO sightings and discover exactly what they are

The Pentagon has created a new department with which it seeks to investigate reports of UFO sightings, after some videos were released showing alleged extraterrestrial objects.

For this, the new office, which will be called "Airborne Object Identification and Management Syncrhronization Group" (AOIMSG), will focus on identifying those incidents that occur near or in designated areas of airspace, which is controlled and blocked for general aviation for security reasons.
This new office, which is the successor to the US Navy's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, will be supervised by a panel of experts from the military and intelligence community. Its creation comes five months after the United States classified intelligence report was released, where the Pentagon released its preliminary assessment in this regard.

Not all air incidents could be scientifically explained

In this statement, the Pentagon mentioned that a small number of sightings had unusual flight characteristics and that since they were phenomena detected by military pilots, they had to be investigated, since they could represent technologies of strategic rivals unknown to their own scientists.

In the same report, they concluded that the approximately 120 incidents documented in recent years could be explained with the technology existing to date, ruling out being linked to unknown or secret developments, and even that it was another external element.

However, they also mentioned that there was no justification for some of these sighting reports and videos. Of these cases, the one captured by an Air Force pilot stands out, where it was speculated that the object could be a drone, but they could not confirm it derived from the speeds and movements he made before ending up disappearing.
Finally, the Pentagon also points out that they require more time and resources to understand what is happening in the air, since this type of incursion poses problems for flights and operations of facilities and ultimately for national security.
