A friend took the background photo, and I built the saucer in Lightwave 3D patterned after a saucer in one of Billy Meier's alleged real UFO photos. I built an environment in Lightwave to render the saucer with reflections consistent with the photo. This is the final render. I added a glint or two in photoshop So...photo is real, ship is not. :-)

Here is another tip. When creating your environment create a box and map four sides with the photo have the top match the top color of the sky and the bottom is covered by a front face map of the photo. In this way the retraced reflections look consistent with the environment. focus the camera on the back panel and use the front mapped panel to catch the shadow. Real easy in Lightwave.
