Greetings from Germany to Uganda

Hello,

in a few days we are going to visit Uganda and we are really looking forward to it.
Hoping to meet some new people I want to share you some impressions from my land.
I've taken some pictures this week on my way to work and during the day.IMG_20180314_065449.jpg
In the morning I often go by bike. It takes me about one hour, but it is worth it. The landscape is beautifull, even in winter.

It was about 0 degrees centigrate so the air was cold. You can smell the steamy dungheaps ;-)

This is me in my office were I work 8-9 hours a day.IMG_20180314_120241.jpg

I work in a telekomunication company. I have to delegate work to roundabout 40 people. I have to fight against hundreds of emails and to survive dangerous meetings every day. It is similar to startrek with the difference, that the holodeck is in our brains ;-)

My daily breakfast (apples, peer, nuts, oat, milk, yogurt, honey).

Down there is my homecity. It is nothing special, but I like it.IMG_20180314_172733.jpg
This is our garden and house (with the solar panels). We only heat with sunpower and fire from self chopped woods, so we are CO2-neutral.
This morning it has snowed again, so this is a view from our house into the garden:

I hope I could give you a very little impression of my live and our country.

Regards, Achim

Dear Achim,
We are gald you are coming to visit. You can be sure that's an honest statement because Ugandans are known for their hospitality. Thanks for sharing your home story with us. We could trll you our hime story but We shall let you tell your own story about us since your coming.Uganda is far different from what I've seen in your pictures. It doesn't snow here. I am positive you will love it.Danke

I just read "Das gras ist immer grüne" It means the grass is army green. I am excited because i understood.( i was a poor German student)

Hi Easydimes,
thank you for your comment. Yes I'm really looking forward to your country. I think I will sweat there ;-)
My statement with the gras was about "the gras is always greener on the other side" and was about aranging the situations we are in. We cannot always change everything, so we have to learn to accept it.
Regards, Achim

Hahaha. That was a very meaningful statement that i had translated into just colour. Atleast i got the word green and grass correct. Plus i am glad i indicated that i was a poor Deutsch student. lol

Uganda is waiting for you man. Its that place u whouldnt miss man

Thnak you very much. I feel welcomed!
