Uganda, 2018/04/07, Kiyunga, Vision for Africa

In the morning I wrote my diary. Our "come and see" programm is finished and so our "recreation"-hollidays starts, before we go back to Germany in a few days.
In the noon I was at the IT-training school and talked with a teacher. I told him about steemit and he registered directly. I am allowed to teach his class on next monday 4 p.m. I'm looking forward to it.

In the afternoon my family and I had a smal walk outside VfA.

After that we went swimming in the pool and in the evening we played "Werwolf" with some friends.
On Sunday we went to the church in VfA. One of the children, Aby, likes us and came for a hug. She is so cute.

After that my family and I went for the first time without any guide into another city. We went to Mukono and from there to Jinja (at the Victoria Lake). It took about two hours to reach the target and the same time to go back. The traveling system is very different to the German, where one have a scheduled train or bus. Here in Uganda, the taxi bus waits at its startpoint until it is full and then it starts. If there are persons on the street which want to join, then they were pressed in. So our taxi, that has 15 seats including the driver, was once filled up with 22 persons. At one police checkpoint, two persons got of, walked a little bit and then got back into the bus.
And as I mentioned earlier, here are no traffic rules (as far as I can recognize).
This bus-system is working very good, you don't need to wait longer than in Germany. (In Germany the people wait for the bus, here the bus waits for the people). The prize is fixed before you go in, and is payed when you go out.
At the beginning of our journey in Mukono a swarm of people came to us, when they heard, that we want to go by taxi. Everyone wanted to drive five rich muzungus in their taxi. One man grapped my sun and pulled him to his taxis. He didn't loose his grip, so I started to speak a little bit clearer. Just when we said, what we are going to pay for the taxi (just the usual prize), they let us go and we could decide without stress, which taxi to take.
In Jinja we bought some souveniers and clothes.

Here is a picture of some advertising. All black people are brightend on these pictures:

This is because white skin has the image of beeing pretty. I don't think that this is true. I have seen a lot of dark coloured people, that are much more pretty, than a lot of white people.

Its good to learn about this difference. I think we Ugandans should better be glad about this system.

We are all humans and the same people regardless of the skin color difference. We are all beautiful and handsome people in the sight of God. As the bible says in Psalms 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in God's image.

I am sure you will never forget this experience hahaha. This was a typical Ugandan taxi....hahahaha sorry about the experience.

Among all experieces from your Stay in Uganda, this one of the taxi is the most memorable of all...
