These are the highlights of the previous meet up team uganda had on 25th Aug.
The meet up was attended by about 20 people, a few of whom were helped to sign up accounts on steemit, and on other steemit sites, like steemit payco, utopian-io, d-tube among others.
Some of the speakers included @jaraumoses, @battebilly, @yohan2on, @ireneblessing, @jona12, among others. The following are what they spoke;
@Irene; we must learn to comment so much on people's posts, talk in discord channels, Watsapp groups, and other forms of communication. The propose of communicating so much is to create a sustained relationship and encourage reading people's posts.
@Jaraumoses compared and contrasted steem power, steem and steem dollars. Steem is the currency of steemit and it can be converted into steem dollars or to steem power in a process called powering up. This enables one to have a more valuable vote and so have much influence on steemit. He shared his story of joining steemit, which is surely encouraging. I lack the copyright to share it here.
@Jonah12 narrated how he pays tuition using steemit money. So true. Steemit can turn out to be a very good source of income.
He cited the relevance for newbies to get a mentor, to guide them to grow here.
You can't progress while isolated. Jaraumoses helped him to catch up here.
@Yohan2on, a steem ambassador taught about the many steem specifications like d-live, d-tube, steem payco, actifit and others. This was much educative because people registered for steem payco, dlive, things they always heard but had never endeavored.
I must say #teamuganda is improving so fast.
Thanks for all that funded, mobilized, organized and attended the meet up.
Thank you @musemeza for attending the steem-meetup
