Therefore, it is possible to see Russian influences in the city.Odesa is also rich in architecture. Many buildings in the city date from the 19th century and are built in Neo-Classical style. Among them, the Potemkin Stairs are the most famous. These stairs were featured in the famous Soviet movie Battleship Potemkin and became a symbol of the city.Odessa is also important as a port city. It has been the center of trade due to its coast on the Black Sea and its location on historical trade routes. Today it still functions as an active port.The city's vibrant nightlife cannot be ignored either. Odesa is the heart of nightlife with many bars, nightclubs and restaurants. The city is popular with young people and tourists, especially during the summer months, with parties and festivals on the beaches.A must-visit for those traveling to Odessa is the Odessa Opera and Ballet Theater.
