The Russians having occupied Kherson are trying to stage attacks on Mykolaiv, but so far have been successfully repelled.
There are reports that the Ukrainian military has retaken Hostomel airport. The Russians are trying to strengthen the flanks around the convoy advancing from the north, and have advanced into neighboring towns to the northwest of Kyiv.
By now most of you have heard about the attack on the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. Russians are in control of the plant, but there are no signs of elevated radiation in the area. The US ambassador to the UN said today the world avoided a nuclear catastrophe.
The Zaporizhzhia plant provides ~20% of all electricity in Ukraine. Ukraine has turned on a number of coal powered plants to offset the loss of the nuclear power plant.
