𝕥𝕖𝕒𝕞𝕙𝕦𝕞𝕓𝕝𝕖 // 27th feb 2k18 // the dusting continues, time to lock down the hatches! :)

I have to say I kinda like snow falling, logistically it’s a bit of a nightmare and they say it feels like -6 today out there. Yes, I know it’s not as cold as where you are and yada yada you have it worst etc, whatever — regardless, it’s a few days where we can just vanish and be inside working on projects.

As long as we have water supplies (check, the refill pipes were frozen last night) and a 4g connection that’s solid, backup heating if the power goes off and the determination to throw on a coat and head to the shop for more supplies if we get through our double figures cans of awesome soup then we will be ok, it’s a little different than having a flat or an apartment.

Tomorrow is the last day of February is it’s therefore kinda paramount to have two days of crushing some of the feelings of backlog. Do you get that? Feeling like you have to speed up or really zone into something to get something that’s been outstanding you want to tick of your list done, I’m sure we all experience it, I just push myself to do those sprints.

i slacked off at the end of last week and over the last few days, had a lazy birthday sunday with dayle and we went exploring and walking yesterday, it was a nice day out however and I enjoyed the countryside views from a super reasonable and perfectly efficient bus service — I still can’t believe it’s only £11 to pretty much go anywhere unlimited on their network.

Got me thinking actually about the notion of mobile working especially with some bus services running till 3am you could literally keep moving around, sit on a service for an hour, go somewhere, take photos and have a coffee and get back on again repeating the trip, laptop on your knees — they even do a £25 a week unlimited travel pass which I thought was great if there was two of you doing this, certainly cheaper than sitting out in the cold.

the initial bitcoin spurts we had yesterday seemed to have died off again, some predicting they would go to $13k before dropping to $11k again have not happened yet and litecoin is back down to $219 but it’s fighting hard to go up, I’m ok to hang especially with the weather as it is, the car will get done when it get’s done.

STEEM/SBD appears to be hanging in there with sbd trying to get over $4 again and it’s good to see that DASH has jumped up too from the $400/500 lows back up to nearly $650 (although I do remember the $1200 days of christmas) I’m certainly thankful for any of the movements in these investments and the opportunity to have something of ‘assets’ in my life.

I made some notes in reminders today about what I’m going to do today, so far it’s kinda circling around IPFS tutorial installation for Mac, some awesome VST free plugins for OBS and talking about ways to connect and understand the steem blockchain that powers a number of different media websites, I think this will help people understand and separate service from blockchain but also open up the notion of the decentralised ecosystem.

Well, @dayleeo just passed me a creamy lovely black berry colours smoothie so I guess the day has begun, time to thrash this without giving myself brain freeze and get going, I might do some streaming this afternoon if I can get up to speed — got forty eight hours to crush while we are kinda semi-stuck in the snow! :)
