Holidays can be a stressful time for many - myself included - so it's good to find a way to unwind from it all. Today I started with a little pre-gardening. Now that it's winter, I got some seeds I was saving ready for germination.
Most temperate fruit trees require their seeds go through a winter chill for a couple months in order to sprout. This can be easily replicated in the refrigerator.
To start with, I collected a bunch of my seeds I saved from over the summer. Here I have the pits from some peaches, plums, and cherries.
Then I wrapped them in damp paper towels and put them into Ziploc bags. I had an old tea box that I stuffed them all in and put them in the fridge.
Then I remembered the NASA probe New Horizons did a flyby of a mini planet late last night and was sending back pictures! Here's the first one. More will arrive tomorrow.
And here's the article about it
After that excitement, I got a call from work and had to explain to a coworker how to set up a kiosk. Instead of getting frustrated however, I decided to finally write up a comprehensive document going over all the steps necessary to get a kiosk up and running. This took about 3 hours.
Once that was done, I finally had a little time to play some video games. A friend came online, so we played a little of Guild Wars 2. We played two Asura, and I showed him around their capitol, Rata Sum. It turns out the capitol had 3 tameable pets that I helped him get.
But we couldn't play long. We both have to get up early tomorrow, and I should have been in bed over an hour ago.
Oh and I decided to start calling these ulogs "episodes" because it makes it feel more like a show or a story.
Anyway, goodnight!
