What better way to spend the summer than to reminisce a childhood experience!

On the 14th of April, I together with my boyfriend’s family have decided to visit the City of Pampanga in the hopes of seeing (for the first time!) hot air balloons.

It was a short road trip amounting to almost two hours on the road, including a few wrong turns and a lot of rights.

Right off getting out of Maui (the name of the car), we were greeted with a lot of flying colors quite literally. The sky was filled with kites in all shapes and designs. From creatures as small as butterflies to birds like our Philippine eagle were visible in the cotton candy colored sky. We were lucky to have seen the sun setting, the sky painted in all shades of pink and purple. A beautiful scene and I haven’t even got to the best part yet.

We bought kites and tried to fly them. I got a rainbow colored one. (#pride !!!) Unfortunately, the day was ending and so was the strong winds. We weren’t able to fly the kites for long. But worry not because the reason we were there didn’t fail us in the slightest.

The hot air balloons are huge and so is their beauty. Each one unique with its own aura of majestic quality, almost intimidating. My favorite one is the balloon shaped like chicken! I wish I took a solo picture with it but unfortunately, I didn’t even think about it at the time. My memories of it still relieve me though.

The balloons caught my eye; it was almost impossible not to stare at them the whole time we were there. (My only distraction were the kites...) We sat for what seemed like forever just staring at them, wondering what it would feel like to ride one. But that’s a story for next time! For we can’t afford to ride one yet. Hehe.

We ate dinner at Wendy’s and went home. But not before I got cold sitting in a fast food restaurant wearing nothing but shorts!
