Dear Diary: Well Our TV's Remote Control Died Because It Was Killed

I always here from my room that our TV's remote control fall because as my father watches TV he puts it on his belly so when he moves it just falls and falls. So it finally failed to function and it is now that the burden to buy a new remote will be on my shoulders.

They didn't took care of the remote and now I saw that my father already have butchered it to see what is inside but he really doesn't have the skills and ability to fix it so now it is held by electrical tapes which is ugly and non-functioning eyesore for me now.

It just hurts me because I am the one that bought that TV and the remote control for it is hard to find. When it was new I was the one covering it with plastic to protect it from moisture and drops. So my father after some time took it off and then I kept on hearing that it always falls.

I really do not want to replace the controller because I want the original and not the replacements because the TV had many great features that can only be accessed by the original remote control. But I needed to use the TV on the days that I have to view the Thanksgiving from my church so if we cant use the TV it is a big problem.

My father just doesn't value the stuffs that I buy he always kept on butchering things up while the VHS player that he bought ages ago and the radio cassette tape player is still on display on our divider because he is the one that bought them. That is why I really do not want to buy anymore appliances. I just remember those non-stick pans he ruined too so I am just apprehensive about ever buying again.
