It has been a busy week of preparation for the upcoming typhoon Ompong.
The typhoon came. We thought we have seen the worst, but we haven't. We thought we have prepared enough, but I figured out there is still much room for improvement on preparing.
After about 24 hours, the storm left -- Leaving behind lots of damages. Crops that should be harvested are damaged, material possessions destroyed, businesses paralyzed.
The storm has passed
If there is one thing I learned from all this is to think ahead. Have some foresight. Let us not underestimate the damage. Let us not shrug our shoulders and say that the eye of the storm will not pass our place anyway.
Heed to the warnings
Let us rise up after this calamity we have been through.
