ULOG #8: Still Not A Good Day for Pangasinenses

Good evening, everyone. It's been 2 days since flood had become severe in our province Pangasinan. Yesterday, Dagupan City and a few towns had declared a state of calamity. Everyone probably thought today will be better but it rained hard again for a few hours and flood has risen more than it had yesterday. As a result, more towns had been under state of calamity.

Well, I have told that flood has entered our home yesterday which reached about 1 inch deep. Luckily, it subsided after 5 hours. And it also stopped raining last night so I thought weather was getting better and flood in the province will start subsiding. I was wrong. After lunch today flood had entered our home again. (The gif you see above is the flood that entered our home today.) Yes naman, nai-time lapse pa. Haha! We were all surprised that it was rising fast, I think today the flood was 3 inches deep. About 1 more inch and it can already reach our bedrooms. I was constantly checking on the flood because if it goes any higher then I have to fix the things in our bedroom. Fortunately, it didn't go any higher and began subsiding instead. As of writing this post, the flood is now only 1 inch deep. Ugh!!! I hope the typhoon goes away soon! And thankfully our little businesses on the nearby towns were still unaffected by flood. Gosh! Repairs will be a pain in the wallet if ever they get damaged!

Keep safe, friends! Rain still hasn't stopped and so flood might rise again, not to mention dams are still not opening gates. So let's all pray for everyone's safety and for the rain to stop and flood to subside. Many residents who were trapped in their homes are already running out of food and clean water.

I still feel lucky because despite the flood, we still have electricity, water, food, and internet connection. Thank you, Lord. God Bless Pangasinan, God Bless Philippines.
