Hey,
Here is my pesky five year old! She loves to bake and cook, so we had a challenge for today!
(Currently on day 17 of the school summer vacation and finding stuff to do that isn't going to break the bank. My partner said he wants some choccy krispie cakes for his birthday tomorrow, not a big cake. Cool, this we can do!!)
Here is the gooey mixture as it was made earlier with some going missing to my girl every time I was distracted, ha ha. Least the spoon and bowl were all hers at the end of course, as my butt is big enough to pass on that indulgence.
Still, the end result was perfect and I know they won't last either, because we have already gifted three big ones to the elderly couple across the road and two small ones + two big ones to my parents, as my dad called round earlier with a birthday card for my partner.
Here is the recipe;
60g/ 2 oz unsalted butter
3 table spoons golden syrup
1 x 100g bar milk or dark chocolate
90g/ 3 oz Rice Krispies
And how to make them;
Melt the chocolate in small bursts in the microwave or over a bain marie (in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water)
Add the butter, cut in to small pieces, stir in till melted
Add the syrup, stir
Add the Rice Krispies and stir in to the chocolate mix, gently
Spoon in to 12 bun cases
Leave to cool

Sorted. Pop in fridge to cool more and stuff to your heart's content.
