Am I one of those so called "uneducated white men" ? Who exactly does this apparent political polling category include?

So, as we all have been overwhelmed with the amount of media coverage of this Presidential election cycle. Poll after poll seemingly every other minute being released, interpreted, construed, contorted, manipulated, and shat out the mouths of which ever news station felt it most beneficial to their own affiliation or interest. It has been so annoying. I also have learned a lot about a few of these news stations. Stations in which I had believed to be completely credible resources for world/US dialy news and events so I could stay informed. I now know that this does not exist. I used to watch CNN daily for my news and never gave it a second thought. They told me Fox News was a joke, and didn't even tell the real news. After this election cycle, I am completely disgusted in CNN for their overwhelming bias toward the Democratic party and Hillary Clinton. I never would have known if I hadn't randomly switched to Fox News one night and I was hearing a completely different story. After listening to the Hillary channel (CNN) for so long, it was almost refreshing to finally hear the other side. Fox was noticeably Republican, but I finally got the information necessary to make my decision. CNN wouldn't mention wikileaks, nor the scandals surrounding Hillary Clinton. Obviously, Fox News being the other bias side was having a field day with all the bad about Hillary, and a glimpse of optimism for Trump.

Sorry for the rant, in a moment of reflection..it just disgusts me to no end the way media attempts to play with the minds of Americans. Sure, if we wanted to research our daily news in depth every single night, compare and contrast resources of information for credibility..we could find real stories. Every day working folk are too exhausted by the end of their day, or too busy getting ready in the morning to go through all of that. All we want is the news, we don't care about your irrelevant opinions on the matters at hand, we can formulate them for ourselves. Facts are all we need.
Now, on to something that has bugging the crap out of me about a certain category of Americans that are grouped together as if it has much relevancy to how or why votes were cast in a certain direction. "Uneducated white men." Who exactly are they referring to? They say upwards of 48% of these so called "uneducated white men" nationwide voted for Trump (depending on which media outlet this grows to 80%+ on some). They say that it is completely expected that those whom fall in this category voted for Trump more so than any other candidate. So, I am a white man. I graduated high school. Am I above this label of uneducated yet? I fear not. In order for this polling sample to have any relevancy at all it would need to have a decent amount of people who fall into that category, and I believe the amount of people who dropped out of high school before graduating or getting their GED is much too small of a sample in individual states to matter. So, I think they are referring to those of us who haven't graduated college. If this is so, which at this point I am believing it is..I feel completely insulted. I graduated near the top of my class in high school, and have continued to learn ever since through means other than state institutions. I'd like to challenge those who claim those like me are "uneducated." What makes everyone else so.."educated"? Shall we compare IQ tests? A.C.T./ S.A.T scores? How am I the uneducated if I happen to have acquired more knowledge in my life than those who have graduated college?

Maybe in my uneducated delusional mind I have taken this the wrong way and it is not something to be insulted by..I doubt it, but maybe..but, why was there never a poll giving the percentage of "uneducated white women"? Why wasn't there one for "uneducated black men/women" or "uneducated Mexican men/women"? What qualifies to be labeled an "uneducated white men"? I'd really like to know.

"WHY ARE WHITE, UNEDUCATED VOTERS VOTING FOR TRUMP?" -Newsweek headline

"Alas for the Trump voters, the disasters he will bring on this country will fall more heavily on them than anyone else. The uneducated white males who elected him are the vulnerable ones and they will not like what happens next." Chicago Tribune

The news media doesn't report the news. They see their jobs as influencing and directing public opinion.

Very true. It's unbelievable how ignorant and unwilling they are to see both sides of an argument. Do they do it just because it's their job that they are told to do? Or are they really just terrible people..?

According to CNN, apparently we uneducated white women abandoned Clinton too. pffffft.

Are they trying to say it's partially "your" fault then? I haven't dared to turn on CNN since the results came in, I feel like a lot of pointing fingers and excuses are all I'd hear and see.

apparently I've sinned against all women-kind, but if you look at female leaders through the ages, Boudicca, Catherine the Great, Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher, Benazir Bhutto...I think "Murica" can do much better than Hillary Clinton as our first female president.

I agree completely.

Dumbness begets dumbness eh!

R U ALIVE??@?! ;[

of course i am :p
