Another Minnow joins our Ocean

Yesterday one of the Stewards of Terra Mater achieved a major milestone of 1 million Vests (470 steem) to become a Minnow.  Congratulations to @earthmother for working hard, not giving up and persisting through the challenges to overcome and succeed.  

As we encourage and support people to stretch and take that leap of faith, we build a stronger community.  I find that it is no accident that new users are called Plankton.  Plankton is an organism that goes with the flow as they are completely dependent upon the current to move around.  But minnows can swim against the current and move about under their own steem.  

It is everyone's duty to support and guide new users so that they can find success.  This platform can be challenging and yet very rewarding at the same time.  The Stewards of Terra Mater was created so that we can learn how to pay it forward and demonstrate that this model of gifting can build strong community here and in the real world.  The model works and I've seen people flourish, get excited and feel supported when a group of people get together in this way.  

I received this level of support when I first started and I know this model works.  The challenge is that the ratio of users above 1 million vests vs those below 1 million vests is about 1:100.  What that means is that for every 100 plankton, there is only 1 minnow, dolphin, orca or whale.  

If you are a new users, please know that it is not possible for me, as an author, to find for you.  However, if you find me, comment and engage, I reward people.  If spirit moves me, I may even invite you to be a Steward of Terra Mater.  This requires work and a leap of faith to get out there and get noticed.  People can make a lot of friends and crypto by commenting and engaging.  

This is how every single member of the Steward of Terra Mater was found.  They found me or knew somebody that knew me.  If you find that your blog has little following, then get out there and get noticed.  Steemit marketing is important in order to attract the support and encouragement you are looking for.  Steemit marketing involves commenting and interacting with people with meaningful comments.  Engage!  

@earthmother is a special spiritual being as she lives off grid, home schools her beautiful and spiritually wise daughter, grows her own food and works hard to have a relationship with Creator and Mother Earth.  Her new steemit program that she wants to start is a fine example of creativity and working with her talents to help people.  While my steem delegation has now been removed as I don't want her to be 'dependent' on me, my support and encouragement will continue as she swims and finds her own way in this ever expanding ocean we call Steem.  

For me, there is no better feeling than to help empower people to be independent.  That is what we are supposed to do.  Any action to create dependency is a violent act and as Stewards of Terra Mater, it is our job to engage in peaceful sacred stewardship.  That involves ensuring that everyone is as independent as possible so that we can bring prosperity to this planet.  

That is how we counteract the greed, bullies and violence in our lives and even on this platform, by leading through example.  @earthmother and the other stewards exemplify this philosophy and I am proud to call her my friend and spiritual sister.  If you struggle with this platform, don't give up.  I've made lots of posts to help people through this journey. I pray that @earthmothers success will lead the way to demonstrate that we can indeed help one another find success.
