Frogs are the best known group of amphibians.
Frogs live almost everywhere in the world except the polar regions, some islands in the middle of the ocean, and the driest desert.
The frog has four fingers on the front leg and five fingers on the hind legs.
The jumping motion of frogs is used to avoid predators, not as normal movements.
- Most species of frogs have large eardrums on each side of the head and are called tympanum.
- Frogs make vocalizations or calls, by forcing air through their larynx. Vocalizations usually function as mating calls. Male frogs often voiced together to form a loud chorus.
