It will be interesting to see how the acceptance rate works out this year given the increase in applications. It will also be interesting to see if UGA admits approximately the same number as last year (Class of 2024: 13700 out of 28500 or 48%). It looks like Class of 2025 will be 34-35% overall if admits stay the same (13700 out of 39500+). With those assumptions, the Class of 2025 RD admit will be around 19-20% (if I calculated that correctly using both RD apps plus deferred) and the EA was 39.4%.
According to USNWR, UGA had an acceptance rate of 46% and an early acceptance rate of 58.5%, although I didn’t easily spot what year those stats are based on. Regardless, accepting the Common App plus the increase in applications across the board due to the uncertainty with covid has affected UGA’s acceptance rate meaningfully.
