Introducing Stara aka Lifa aka Aliana - my 5 year old unschooled daughter. This is her first youtube video. She is such a hoot.
Why so many "aka"s you ask? Well, we decided to let her pick her own name. Her birth name was Aliana (based off the Spanish word for "Alliance", "Alianza") and she decided at age 3 to go by "Stara". Once we realized it was going to stick, we got everyone in her lift to change what they called her, including Grandparents, cousins, and friends.
By the time she turned 4 she decided her name was "Lifa". I told her I was going to have a hard time getting the Grandparents to change it again, so she decided to go by "Lifa" at the Nature and Science program she attends. So there you have it, my daughter of 3 names - I call her all of them interchangeably - random ones just sort of fly out when I am talking to her.
