I recently posted about the program which gives all 4th graders a free annual pass to all of our national parks. Today, I took my son to get his pass.
We headed out to the Carbon River Ranger station and got him all set with his pass.
. After we milled around and enjoyed the educational offerings at the ranger station, we headed into the park to do a quick hike...unfortunately we had to turn back around half way because the bridge was washed out. :/
After we got back to the parking lot, we took a couple of obligatory photos at the entrance....
And then we went for a walk down by/in the river.
I'm so glad we went! If you have a fourth grader or homeschool equivalent, hop onto everykidinapark.gov to find out how to get your free pass.

Looks like a lot of fun! What a pretty place to hike at.
