Hi everyone Anidel aka @ankarlie here. In this blog I want to discuss with you how to earn cryptocurrencies using Brave Browser and Basic Attention Tokens.

What are Brave Browser and Basic Attention Tokens?

Brave browser is a web browser very much like Chrome and Firefox. In fact it was created by one of the the co-founder of Mozilla (company composed of previous employees of Netscape) Mr. Brendan Eich. What is really awesome about this web browser is its excellent AdBlock, tracking and security protection.

Basic Attention Tokens are, as the name implies tokens that can be use to exchange for goods or services rendered. In our case as payment for the attention users give when they see advertisement while browsing the net; as a reward for publishers who regularly publish original and interesting content. This token is so awesome when it launched it sold out in less than 30 seconds raising a cool $36M USD (wow that was like more than $1M USD per second.)

Recently, the blog site of BAT informed the public that the newly upgraded version of Brave browser vesrsion 0.19.95 has enabled a feature that gives users the ability to reward publishers such as Youtube publishers.

One just need to activate the internal BAT wallet of Brave and Load some BAT into the wallet using BTC, ETH, LTC or BAT. You can also load using fiat money using Uphold remittance services (We will discuss this in detail later on this article). Before you go about doing this please note that this is at its initial stages only and funds transferred their can only be transferred to BAT accredited publishers. (There is a work around to this so no problem).

How do we earn exactly?

There are two main ways to earn. First is by enabling Brave Browser Ads and surfing the brave enabled sites and second by getting rewarded for being a publisher of original content.

Earning by browsing Brave enabled sites:

The first thing you want to do is enable Brave ads. By default Brave browser blocks all forms of advertisement including Brave ads.

Second you want to enable you BAT internal wallet in Brave.

The Brave Payment Dashboard will appear after you switch it on. This shows you your current balance and the option to adding funds:

Once the "add funds" Icon is pressed it will bring you to this dashboard where you can find the different means on how to fund your internet wallet.

You may fund the wallet using the shown currencies or you may use the payment processor Uphold if you want to use credit or debit card.

Earning by being a publisher:

The first thing you might want to do to earn as a publisher is to activate your Brave Publisher Account here.

You can either be a site operator or an individual creator. Currently for individual creator Youtube is the only site available for the moment.

Once you are a verified brave publisher you can earn from the many sites that Brave will support soon.
