Me before and after I met my addict "steemit"

Am a kind of person who loves to take chances and risk at opportunity that comes my way after looking at the risk and profitability. As a student in this part of the world there is so little you can do to earn a lawful living for yourself. Then different ponzi scheme came along at least man must survive, I would put part of my allowance into it but it was all scam and waste of resources.

Then my phone was just a means of communication, playing games, watching movies, posting on social media chatting which I didn’t know then that there is so much I could do with the device than those. After falling victim of different scam then I lost interest in any business that doesn't involve physical transaction.

In an attempt during the semester break to gain back some of what have lost by going job hunting that was when I got introduced to steemit and I was like hope this is not another give and take scheme, and he told me no that it was entirely different from those. He said all I need to do is to write and post knowing well myself that am not much of a writer and I didn’t even take literature in school.

Gradually he taught me the basics but it wasn’t easy and it was challenging and I wanted to just give up and continue with my normal life but thanks referral @nuges who didn’t give up on me and thanks to one of our own @gbenga he made me see the brighter side and helped me to place my focus on steemit.

When I got into steemit my first two post was through contest, the second post was the first contest of untalented sponsored by this same man who is surpassing google itself @surpassinggoogle then I made more than $10 that encouraged me to move ahead in the journey.

Since I got into steemit community it has made me fulfilled have always loved online business because it could serve as a par time job for me by just sitting and earning is more like being a boss of my own. Ever since I joined steemit have not been able to do without it even my parent will be like what are you always doing with your phone but they won’t understand what steemit has done to me.

Steemit is not a scam and is not just a community where you put money to get back double but it gives you the opportunity to actually work hard for what you are earning so has to know the worth of it. On steemit am not just earning but also gaining what can’t be bought which is knowledge. Each one of us in steemit can testify to it that even if you are not posting you will find yourself on someone else blog learning one or two new things because everyday in steemit gives me the grace to learn even things that are not taught in class rooms.

So many things has changed since steemit came along from my time management even to my relationship with my phone, gone are those days when it was just chatting and viewing people’s success from one social media to the other but now am working on my own success to be viewed by others.

I used to think that it was only drug that could be addictive but am gradually becoming a steemit addict.

Thanks to @surpassinggoogle who has given me yet another opportunity to tell my fellow steemians what steemit has done to me.

On steemit am not just earning am also learning and the difference between the two is L which means am also Living.
