Updates:

SOOOO excited to show you the beginning of Barbara-Anne's house and introduce my incredible DP Nina!!! 

Nina is a female DP on the rise in Canada. She is kicking ass left, right and centre and I was SO HONOURED she wanted to shoot my film.  My first day meeting her she had treatments, ideas for lenses and wanted to volunteer her time and put all the money into gear. She's bringing her own crew on to volunteer their time because she believes so much in the project.  She is calling in her connections and favours and is really confident that this film will have a festival edge. It felt amazing to have new eyes on the script and have them LOVE the characters and stories and get excited.

Kat, Nina and I went to Hamilton, ON to check out a massive warehouse space that has sets for EVERYTHING already set up in hopes that it could be the perfect place to get all the looks we needed (Oh yeah, forgot to mention from my last post the location I had found FELL THROUGH but this one appeared within minutes...roller coaster!)

It was better than I could have imagined and there are TONS of props we have access to which makes a huge difference to us and helps our budget a lot. The entire warehouse is a film makers dream land. I managed to charm the owner into giving us a deal so we can shoot two days (our first day being set up/ shooting some things!) I didn't even know this space existed in ON. 

It's called Digital Canaries and the owner Simon is a jolly, film lover who has dedicated his time to creating a space that is full of sets. From 1950's kitchens, to halls ways, hospitals, jail cells, a morgue,  court rooms and THE OVAL OFFICE even. His vision is that creators will eventually write for his space, knowing that they can dream big because you can shoot so many locations in one day. Let me tell ya- I'm already planning my next film(s)!

Inspired by the space we've decided to add a fun button after the credits as well in one of the jail cells set in the future. SO FUN!  Here's some pictures of our little adventure....which ended with Beer and fries NATURALLY xo
