Barbara Anne s Journey on Steem so far

Location is getting locked down on Friday, we have a DP on board who is another bad ass babe!!! Yup, this has turned into an all female creative team including Director, DP, Writer, Producers, Editor and also actors.

It's been amazing to share the journey of the film on Steem and as we are 1 month and 1 day away from our shoot weekend I want to reflect on the journey on Steem so far!

My goal of 4000.00 at this point seems unlikely just based on time and the price of Steem (unless a generous whale or person wants to donate or upvote...never ya ;)

So I'm aiming to try to fundraise half of that via Steem. I'm at almossstttt $800 in my Steem Wallet so I need to raise around $1200- what do you think Steem community? Can we make that happen?! Well I want to at least try!

With that goal in mind here's what I've been thinking about with regards to using the Block chain to fund a film project;

• The upvotes and support of course depend on the content that I put forth and what I've realized is that yes I could post 18x a day and rely on people who have me on automatic upvote or catching new eyes, but I really do want to make sure I'm putting out content that is authentic, thought out and a reflection of where I'm at in the artistic process and/or as a human. I know some people just post whatever and that works for them but I do want to curate in a way that I gain genuine followers and people are are interested in me/the work I'm interested in.
• I do believe that this entire film could have been funded (and there's still time if a little miracle happens!) but I had to shoot in December based on my teams availability. If I had the rest of the year I could probably make it happen, but then I wonder would the content be interesting enough because making a movie has lots of down time...does the sense of urgency help the community come together? 
• Pairing the different block chain platforms has been interesting as well. I love sharing all my whackiness on Dtube and film updates on Fundition and random blog posts on Steemit about what's on my mind. It all feeds into my creative process, motivates me and accesses different types of audience on Steem.
• I am still quite new on Steem which means I don't have a massive following or tons of whale support. I am so so grateful for the auto upvotes and delegations from some very generous people but to fund this project completely in time I would need to have some larger whale votes to hurry it along or many more small but mighty upvotes.
• HOWEVER, having this project on Steem and being new I think has also helped me show all of you what I'm about and my dreams for Steem which I think has accelerated my growth here.
• Whatever I raise $$$ wise is great because every truly every little bit counts.  But even better than that...what I've raised in the real world is awareness about Steem and that this platform exists and I've had multiple friends join which has been awesome!!

As always I welcome any ideas you may have about how to best use the block chain to reach my goal and thank you thank you for all the love and support. We're making a movie babyyyyy
