The SASH-Program Meeting Updates
The SASH-Program meeting of Saturday 31st June 2018 started at 09:00AM with a word of prayer from Etomes Marcel, Executive of FOEPSUD who called on God’s wisdom and blessing on the participants. This was followed by a word of welcome from the Executive Director of The Greens who briefed partners of about the SASH-Program as well as the purpose of the meeting.
The SASH-Program as reiterated by Mr. Green is a community service program that strives to educate, inspire and engage young people of the North West Region of Cameroon in community service during this 2018 summer holiday (from July 2nd to August 30th 2018).
He said the goal of the program was to engage in community service at least 20 young people and that the purpose of the meeting was to draw up an activity calendar for the summer holiday program.
After careful deliberations, It was agreed that we call the SASH-Program Participants “Earth Rangers” and that we will create an ordered corps wherein these young people will have the sense and spirit of leadership and guardianship over the earth. Also envisaged for the future during the meeting was Earth Rangers Summer camp or the SASH-Summer Camp.
