Yesterday dayle picked up a cool VO job yesterday via crypto, she stepped through the platform, working with someone on the team, it was straight forward and flawless, it’s really showed us both the future of virtual working for the freelancer, getting paid instantly to a crypto wallet that you can then use to purchase data plans, food orders or use to purchase a topup voucher for amazon, this stuff exists already — incredible!

The main places really need to pick up on blockchain and crypto quickly if they are gonna compete with this tsunami wave of innovation that’s coming, the fact that we have software that’s working already that is part of what upwork already does is amazing — the fact that most of the work they are doing to bring the startup to light is already using micro workers is insane, no more do you need a VC or investment to get going, if you’ve played the HODL market well you already have some of these cryptos in a wallet for you to utilise to pay out for the work.
Being able to do all the invoicing online, being able to get paid instantly, no middlemen, incredibly low fees (as such, maybe a little on the sender end, talking cents here) and then build out your profile on the site end is testament to where all of this is heading — no snarky permission based mods, no water cooler chat, no management making your life hell just straight to supplier, person to person transacting.
I truly believe that these value gateways, blockchain, crypto currency make this stuff happen and it’s not waiting for anyone, it’s happening regardless if govs like it or not, you can’t stop the march of innovation, it will find a way, people are having to anyway because they have to adapt to the situations around them, that’s just the way things are right now.
Personally, I think it’s wonderful!
