It’s officially the best time to enjoy spring in Washington, D.C. The National Park Service announced the cherry blossom trees in D.C. hit peak bloom on Thursday, and the best time for viewing will continue for up to seven days.
This year’s peak bloom is the latest since 2014 and 2015, when the peak bloom hit on April 10, The the Washington Post reported. Considering the harsh, late-winter storms that have hit the eastern seaboard in February, it’s no surprise that the flowers have taken their time to bloom.
Spring is coming.
