During Lend Lease 80+ years ago, we sent 200 Divisions worth of material to the USSR, along with thousands of locomotives, industrial machinery and equipment, 60% of Soviet aviation fuel, 1/3 of all Soviet calories (for the whole country, not just the Red Army), and so forth. Tens of thousands of airplanes, tens of thousands of fighting vehicles, thousands of tanks, half a million jeeps and trucks. Entire factories were disassembled and shipped to Russia.
Since February, we have not provided Ukraine with enough materials to arm a single brigade with anything except HIMARS and Javelin.
Not enough to equip only the ground component of a single US Marine Air-Ground Task Force (since we bizarrely decided that providing fixed or rotary air support is somehow against the rules), which we are capable of deploying anywhere in the world in 36 hours.
4 counter-battery radars
2 NASAMS
1 Fucking Patriot battery
And a partridge in a pear tree
The US has 514 M-109 Paladins in service and 850 in storage, along with an order of 180 next-gen M-109A7’s on the way. We have provided Ukraine with no self-propelled artillery.
