How about adding to your list false flag events like the Bay of Tonkin Incident which was the excuse (admitted lie) for the Vietnam "police action".

How many died for the flag during that period of US history?

How about "Operation Northwoods"? Create terror at home so we can send more young men off to die in foreign lands.
