There are lots of things we don't think about before we experience that something isn't entirely working the way we imagined. For example, I just bought a new pendrive that supports USB 3.0, but as I transferred files to the USB using my USB 3.1 port, things didn't go as quickly as I expected... So I decided to find out more and did a benchmark test of my new pen drive, together with testing some old pendrives, and also an SSD drive I have in my computer.
What did I find out?
My new pen drive gave me 17 MB/s transfer speed as I did a benchmark test.
An old pen drive that is 4 years old gave me 21 MB/s as I did the test.
Another pen drive that is 1 year old gave me 42 MB/S
And then as I tested my SSD, I got something like 550 MB/s as speed.
What did I discover? There is big difference between the pen drives when it comes to speeds, and even though it supports USB 3 or higher doesn't mean it will provide you with the speeds you expect.
