Who among you was in Russia? I do not think every person! I went there in 2013, in the city of Tuapse, next to it was the Olympics in 2014. The Black Sea became very clean, it was not in vain there that they spent 2 months cleaning.
I did not see much tourists from America, mostly Russians. Near the railway station, very tasty pies are on sale. In Sochi, Americans are met with kindness. If you yourself live in America, and do not know which city is strange to go, then it is better to choose Sochi or Adler.
Tuapse is considered a city of businessmen, there you can meet many small traders. Near the city of Tuapse, there is a bunch of villages where you can go see the cows, take a walk in the forest, make a shish kebab.
If there was such an opportunity, I would go there again.
