How Would I Bet on the Election

I believe that the people matter more than politicians.

I spent most of 2016 campaigning against Donald Trump. I campaigned against Trump as I feared that he would negatively affect the people of the nation.

My fears have born out.

The reason I dislike Trump is that Trump's strategy has been to push the Democratic Party to the left. It is a simple strategy: Push the opposition to extremes and people will support you out of fear.

Trump is great at needling the media and he did a great job of pushing the Democrats to the left.

The problem with the strategy of pushing the opposition to extremes is that the strategy makes the country unstable.

Personally I see little difference between Trump and Biden. Both candidates appear to be gruff politicians based on the model of Lyndon Johnson.

Both candidates came of age during Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society.

While the policies are different, Trump's over use of the term Great seems to be a repeat of LBJ's strategy.

Both Trump and Biden are gruff politicians molded on LBJ.

Trump was a politically connected buisness man who made a fortune on politically connected business. I think Trump realized that the politically connected deals being made favored insiders at the cost of the people at large.

Biden stayed in politics. His family made a fortune on politically connected deals. Apparently, the Biden's still see politically connected business as the bee's knees.

Election Predictions

Seriously, I would not dare predict this election. Polls favor Biden.

Trump's strategy has been to appeal to Democrats who've become disallusioned with Democratic politics.

Trump supporters are likely to lie to pollsters.

The Left is largely motivated by hatred of Trump. The right is motivated by fear. I think the deciding factor just might be Democrats who are secretly voting for Trump.

The political world is definitely getting worse. Once again we have to chose between the lesser of two evils. I think Trump is the lesser of the two evils.

The people matter more than the president. If Biden wins, hopefully people will open their eye's to the corruption and the klyptocracy within the DNC.

Here is a picture of from Wikicommons of Trump with one of his buddies back in the day.

После победы Байдена фондовый рынок пошел в рост. Может быть это и лучший выбор.

After Biden's victory, the stock market went up. Maybe this is the best choice.

The market dislikes uncertainty. I suspect it would have risen with either candidate.

I am happy with the outcome. Biden winning by a small contested margin means he does not have a mandate for radical change.

My post was about the bet. Since the election hasn't been certified, the bet should still be running (I didn't join the bet). In the US the Electoral College finalizes the election.

The bet should not pay off until after the Electoral College. BTW, there is a remote possibility that the Electoral College will choose someone other than these two candidates. I was tempted to bet on NEITHER which would have given a big payday.
