After the government shutdown closed Island Beach State Park to the public, Christie was seen lounging on the same beach that visitors and residents were denied access to. The shutdown apparently took place because of a budget impasse, and Christie himself went to the statehouse on Sunday in an attempt to resolve the budget issue.
