Suggestion to Add Custom Rewards Calculator in Steem.rocks

in utopian-io •  7 years ago  (edited)

Components

Steem.rocks is a website and it is developed on top of steem blockchain, this website is used to check user's activities and it also shows user latest curation and author rewards.

Proposal

There is still a lot of confusion about how rewards are generated in Steemit, so i suggest to add a custom rewards calculator in steem.rocks website based on:

  • an arbitrary expected reward value
  • the current price of STEEM
  • the current price of SBD

User's must have option to adjust any of the above 3 variables and get a very accurate result of the expected reward. Suppose a user see a $200 reward on some popular post and he or she want to see how much exactly it will be in USD. Well, then user need to open the custom rewards calculator and add the 200 value to the input field and then they get the result in microseconds. Hint: it's 340.50 USD, at the current market prices. i hope users also appreciate this improvement, let me show you examples that how custom rewards calculator feature looks in steem.rocks.

Mockups / Examples

After left clicking on custom rewards calculator tab a new menu open up and user's can slide the values of SBD and STEEM and see which parts of their rewards are changing and how much. If they want to restore the values to the actual market prices, just press reset button below the table, and they will reset, user's can also see how much SBD, Steem Power and USD they get for a post with $200 rewards displayed in Steemit. See the below GIF to get better idea how this custom reward calculator look like and work.

Benefits

With the help to this calculator user's can easily & accurately calculate their rewards in SBD, Steem Power and USD. I think this calculator can provide a lot of insights about how much SBD, SP and USD user's are generating using the platform and can give hints on how much revenue user's can generate in future. When Steem.rocks has this feature then user's won't need to use any third party software to explore insights of the rewards, this induction also save precious time of user's and it also catch more user's as peoples find Steem.rocks equipped with awesome tool's.
