Adding Features

A social media App is one that should look so beautiful,awesome and professional!!! Although for a social media to be standard, it has to pass through different stages and upgrades....
I remembered clearly when the facebook app was introduced. Although it could do What the facebook web could do, I never liked it. Reason was that it looked so unprofessional!!!
Some months later, when I decided to try out the facebook app, I couldn't believe what I saw. The App had developed that some little errors were fixed, some great and stunning features were added to it. I started developing interest in using the app.
Today the facebook app is one of the most used social media Apps.

If a user updates his own status, he won't receive notification for that because it's his own action.
Let's take for instance, John updated his own status. Facebook won't send him a notification that John liked your status. Reason for this is that he executed this action himself and he knows what he has done. But when a friend or anonymous user likes or comments on his status, he will definitely get a notification for that.......

      ***OBSERVATIONS***

When I made my first post using the esteem App, I had no idea on how to use it properly, all I had in mind was that "it's a social media App, how hard could it be?"
Although it's similar to the ones I've used in time past, there are still some things that needs to be changed and developed
Like when I upvoted my own post, I discovered that I received a notification telling me that I upvoted my own post.

From the above image, we can see that there is a notification, notifying me of what I just did. The same thing happens when I comment on my post!!!!
And it's of no use informing me of what i executed deliberately....

          ***SUGGESTION***

The esteem App has gotten to a stage, where it should be able to detect owners upvote and comment on owners post and still don't send a notification to that effect to the owner......
The app should only display notifications from other users and not owners actions..............
In addition, the developers of the app should consider adding a unique notification sound which should alert the users that there is an awaiting notification from steemit.

        ***CONCLUSSION***

With this new changes/development, the app would be better than how it used to be.
Users don't get notified on their upvote on comments on their own posts.
