Add features to the camera when taking pictures

Flipside Camera

Flipside Camera is an open-source application that can be used to take two pictures in one. The position of the images can be swapped. Also the application has a filter feature. The application as an easy to use interface.

Proposal

I will suggest that the camera adds these features to the application:

• Shutter sound: Using the application i noticed the application does not have a shutter sound feature. When pictures are taken the person striking a pose will not know if the has been taken or not. When pictures with this application it should make a sound. Also the application can put this feature in a settings menu.

• Allow users to take pictures with the volume up or down button on devices: When users want to take selfies most times it difficult to tap the screen and take a picture. So they use the volume up and down. But after trying that with this application and I noticed it did not work, I will like to suggest the feature should be added to the application.

Mockups / Examples

The image below shows where the shutter sound feature can be positioned so users can decide to turn it on or off according to users preference.

For the volume up and down feature, when the buttons are pressed the application should automatically take pictures.

Benefits

Shutter sound is an integral part of most cameras be it professional or mobile camera. It has great effect on photography especially when the user is taking pictures of another person (For example: a model). There will be better communication in this case.
Also, allowing users to take pictures with the volume up and down button will make taking selfies with camera easier since the camera also utilizes the front camera. For example, when taking group selfies the camera handler needs to capture a lot of people by stretching out one hand, tapping the screen will not be easy. This is where the side volume buttons comes in and users can easily take any kind of picture with this camera application. This application will be more accessible and easy to use with the feature.
These features are highly important for cameras and I believe this application should add the features listed above.
