Timber Music Player

This is an open source application which is free to download on Android phones. Timber music player is an application used to play music with very nice features, users can change themes and a lot of other features like playing queue, library, Playlist and so on. Also, the application supports FM. But after exploring the application, I noticed it is lacking important features.

Proposal

I will like to propose that the application adds a set as ringtone and equalizer feature for the application.

Set as ringtone: most users use music players to set songs as their ringtone. When users like a particular song while using the music player and the user feels this should be used as ringtone, the music player should be able to serve as a link to help user set that particular song as ringtone. Also, the music player brings all audio on the device into the player, so looking for a particular song through files might be stressful and difficult.

Equalizer: Any music player should have an equalizer, because sound works in frequencies and if frequencies are not balanced there should be a tool that helps in balancing the sound. An equalizer is used to adjust volume (calculated in dB) of specific frequencies in songs. In poorly recorded songs or when using low quality earphones and songs don't sound like they should. An equalizer can be used to adjust the frequency of the song to soothe the strength of the earphone, especially for users that love to listen to the low ends (bass) of songs. Also, users with earring problems and are affected by the high ends of songs, this can be easily adjusted according to users preference.

Benefits

The importance of these features cannot be overemphasized. Users will be able to have a lovely experience listening to music with this application. This application will appeal to a larger number of people. With these features, users will able to do things easily because users can set their ringtones and equalize with one touch. The features will give the application a much more improved look.
