Contribution Specifications

  • Translation Overview
This is a full translation of the Minecolonies project from English Language to Yoruba Language. This is my first time of translating a gaming project like this and I enjoyed it so much because I love playing games. Though it was a bit demanding because I was not familiar with the game before I took up the project.
I did a little research about Minecolonies and even tried to download the Android version so that I can try my hand on it but what I eventually downloaded was not working well on my device. From my research I was able to understand what Minecolonies is all about before I started the translation.
Honestly I really enjoyed working on the project and all the words were translated from English to Yoruba Language except for few words that are for special characters like groot, enderman, batman, Bugs bunny and so on.
I tried to maintain consistency while ensuring the best semantics translation that perfectly carries the message contained in the source language is conserved.
The project Minecolonies is 100% complete.

  • Languages
    Source language: English
    Target language: Yoruba

  • Word Count
I translated a total of 1,793 words from the source language to a total of 2,242 words of the target language as estimated and shown in the picture below.

Hello @fatherfaith, thanks for this contribution.

  • Your post presentation is good. The correct crowdin project link is https://crowdin.com/project/minecolonies.
  • You did a good work in your translations. You checked previous work done by other translators and made corrections to poorly translated strings. I found minor mistakes such as here where you made a spelling mistake by putting asayori instead of aseyori and here where you made a punctuation error which led to to the next word not being capitalized.

Taking your time to translate and cross-checking will help reduce this errors.

Thank you.
