Details
JournalDev is an application which provide easy access to our tutorials in developing. It has a website and android application which covers programming technologies like Core Java Technologies, Java EE - Servlets, JSP, Spring Framework, Design Patterns, Android and Python. I offered to make a new logo for the application which is accepted by the project owner and was merged in the project. Results of the logo can be seen below:
Benefits / Improvements
The logo contains the initials of the name of the project. Letter J and D which is connected to form the logo. It is created through lines and with a developing code /> in the letter "D". The color chosen in the logo comes from the primary color of the project in the website. The logo was used in the repository.

I like the simplicity of this logo, however the logomark looks a too big compared to the logotype and because this simple logomark is not symetrical it make the whole logo even more unproportional.
The project's name JurnalDev that contained two words (journal and dev) without space is looking great in the colored version, however the contrast between those two words is gone in monochrome. you can make those words in different weight to make the contrast visible even in monochrome.
