Addition of important features to SicMu Player.

Components:

SicMu Player as discussed earlier, is an open source android music player used to access MP3 audio files on android mobile devices mostly. Users can download this music player from Google play android store using this link; https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=souch.smp , also on F-Droid android store, using this link; https://f-droid.org/packages/souch.smp/.

Proposal:

On launching this music player, i discovered that some important features were missing on this music player, that would give it a good look to its users. The Launch display interface only displayed all the list of songs on the mobile device. it had no tabs or columns to categorize the songs based on albums, playlists created or genre, unlike normal music players that show all the songs based on these categories. I hereby suggest that the following features are added to the music player;

a) Album tab: the album tab on the music player, would display and categorize songs based on the album title or name, selecting the musicians songs released in that particular album at that period of time, and collating them together (as far as they are available on the device).

b) Playlist tab: the playlist tab on the music player would display songs that are frequently played, favorite songs of users, recently added songs and even user's created playlist of songs.

c) Genre tab: the genre tab would categorize songs based on their style or rhythm in various categories like pop, rock, jazz, hip hop, e.t.c.

d) Artist tab: This tab would show songs categorically, based on the name of the artist who sang the song, and listing all songs under the artist in his/her name.

These features are to be seen, on launch of the music player, as most music players have these features embedded in them because they are very important features that are mostly associated with music players.

Benefits:

On inclusion of this tabs in the next update of the music player, it would give the music player an organised look to its users. it would also categorize the songs in different sections, helping the users to access their songs comfortably based on the genres, albums, playlists and also artists of songs, improving the user-friendly nature of the app. It would also increase user reviews, downloads and also ratings of the music player. I would be glad if this feature can be included in the next update of this app. Thank you.
