List of songs on device not displayed by app

Expected behavior
Timber is an android music player used to access and play music tracks on android phones. A good music player with nice interfaces when playing songs, its expected that all tabs created on the music player should reflect the songs on the device, according to the tab category on the music player.

Actual behavior
On opening the app, the ''songs'' tab under the library section was empty, not reflecting any song or the list of songs on the phone as expected but has a scroll bar which should be used to check down the songs to be displayed. But unfortunately, the album and artist tabs respectively, reflected the songs on the phone according to their respective designations, exposing the bug inside the app.

How to reproduce:
a) download timber music player from the google play store on any android device
b) launch the music player app
c) on launch, the "songs" tab is displayed with no song under it. swipe to the right, revealing the album tab, you would find songs under it, same is seen under the artist tab, but on return to the songs tab, it still remains empty.
