Once upon a time Aisha was asked, "Did the Prophet ever read sya'ir?"
Aisha answer, "He had read Ibn Rawahah's sya'ir and also read the sya'ir saying:

• Day by day will reveal clarity for you even though you did not know.
• The news will come to you.
Brought by someone you did not supply.

The Prophet once said in a hadith, "The best (most correct) sya'ir ever read by a penyair is the syair of Labid (bin Abu Rabi'ah al-Amiri), his voice:

الا كل شيء ما خلا الله باطل
○ وكاد امية ابن ابي الصلت ان يسلم

"Remember, everything other than Allah must perish ☆ And almost Umayyad bin Abu Shalt becomes a Muslim (because his sha'irs)"

Labid in ignorance is a noble person, as well as after embracing Islam. He was a very famous Arabian poet at that time, but after his al-Quran recital, Labin stopped making sya'ir and only suffocated with the Quran only until he died at the age of 140, in 41 Hijriyah.

About Umayyah bin Abu Shalt, the Prophet said, "She is a believer but his heart remains infidels".

That is a bit of a great story in the life of the Messenger of Allah.

Suatu ketika Aisyah pernah ditanya, "Apakah Rasulullah pernah membaca sya'ir?"
Aisyah menjawab, "Beliau pernah membaca sya'ir Ibnu Rawahah r.a. dan juga pernah membaca sya'ir yang berbunyi:

• "Hari demi hari akan menyingkap kejelasan bagimu walau kau sebelumnya tidak tau.
• Berita-berita akan datang kepadamu
dibawa oleh orang yang tak kau beri bekalan.

Rasulullah pernah bersabda dalam sebuah hadis, "sya'ir yang terbaik (paling benar) yang pernah dibacakan seorang penya'ir adalah sya'ir Labid (bin Abu Rabi'ah al-Amiri), bunyi nya:

الا كل شيء ما خلا الله باطل
⊙ وكاد امية ابن ابي الصلت ان يسلم

" Ingat, segala sesuatu selain Allah pasti binasa ☆ Dan hampir saja Umayyah bin Abu Shalt menjadi muslim (karena sya'ir-sya'ir nya)"

Labid di masa jahiliyah adalah seorang yang mulia, demikian pula setelah memeluk Islam. Ia seorang penya'ir Arab yang sangat terkenal di masa itu, namun setelah turun nya al-Quran, Labin berhenti membuat sya'ir dan hanya mencukupkan dengan al-Quran saja sehingga ia wafat pada usia 140 tahun, pada tahun 41 Hijriyah.

Tentang Umayyah bin Abu Shalt, Rasulullah pernah bersabda, "Sya'ir nya beriman namun hatinya tetap kafir".

Demikianlah sekelumit kisah penya'ir hebat dizaman Rasulullah SAW.
